Roger Raymer, Senior Pastor (E-mail)
The Senior Pastor of Lake Ridge Bible Church is Dr. Roger M. Raymer. Born July 2, 1947 in Houston, Texas, his family soon moved to southern California and it was there he received his formal education through the Riverside City School System. Upon completion of required studies at Ramona High School in June of 1965, he attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California and completed his freshman year. After completing his sophomore year at Riverside City College, he attended the University of California at Los Angeles. From there, he received the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in American history in May of 1969. Dr. Raymer was awarded a Prospective Teachers Fellowship at California State College at Los Angeles. He completed the requirements for a California State Teachers Certificate at the University of California at Riverside.
Dr. Raymer taught public school in the Alvord School District for three years. He then joined Wycliffe Bible Translators as a Short-Term Assistant. He served as a missionary schoolteacher for two years at the Alliance Academy in Quito, Ecuador from 1973 until 1975. Dr. Raymer attended Dallas Theological Seminary from 1975 until 1979 and received a Master of Theology degree. He served a total of nine years as a member of the Dallas Theological Seminary faculty. He has pastored churches in Christchurch, New Zealand, Houston, Texas and Dallas, Texas. In May of 2003, Dr. Raymer completed all of the requirements of the Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts.
Roger and his wife, Judy, have three grown children, Stephen (married to Lindsey), Kathryn (married to Joe), and Mark. They have also been blessed with three granddaughters, Anna Claire, Ella Rose and Sophie Grace.
