Vencedores Fall Festival
October 31 - 6 - 8 pm

There will be a Fall Festival at Iglesia Bautista Vencedores (1906 N. Carroll Avenue., Dallas, TX 75204) this year. This is the church that we assist each Christmas in providing gifts for the children at the nearby Cesar Chavez Elementary School. The need volunteers to help with their games, etc., so join the fun and involve your own family in an evening of helping others. Volunteers should arrive at least 15 minutes early. Crown Financial Ministries Bible Study

Introductory Session for Fall on September 7 at 4 pm

The Crown 10-week Biblical Financial Principles study is a Bible study with a practical application workbook that teaches you how to wisely manage the finances tha tGod has provided for you. It is designed to teach God's financial principles in areas like earning, spending, saving, investing, debt and teaching children about money. Not only will your finances be in beter shape, but your personal relationshp with the Lord will be enhanced too.

Classes meet once per week for 10 weeks from 4-6 pm on Sundays. There will be approximately two hours class time and 2 hours of homework each week. Your personal financial situation is not shared with the leaders or the class.

Cost of materials is $50 for individuals and $60 for couples. Couples may share one book, or if they prefer their own book, an additional $50 will be necessary.

Prospective Members Class

If you are interested in becoming a member of Lake Ridge Bible Church, please join Elder Dan Turner he hosts a Prospective Members' Class. You will receive information on church history, doctrine and the ongoing ministries at Lake Ridge as well as the necessary information to begin the membership process. Childcare will be provided. Addressing Mesquite Day
October 11- 7:30 am - 12:30 pm

Volunteers are needed to help Mesquite residents with small projects to correct code violations. The City of Mesquite has determined the residents who need assistance to correct code issues because of some limitation the resident has. The projects generally last four hours and consist of outside painting, landscape trimming and general cleanup. The event begins at 7:30 am in the parking lot of Poteet High School with breakfast and concludes around 12:30 with lunch. All supplies areprovided. This is a wonderful opportunity to use your talents for short term mission work in our community, as well as a great time of fellowship! Contact Gary Lindsey or Mark Eggert for more information.

Congregations Helping in Love and Dedication

CHILD is a unique collaboration between Texas' faith-based communities and Child Protective Services to find loving homes for children who have come into the state's care due to abuse and neglect. The goal of CHILD is to recruit and license as foster parents at least two families from each participating congregation. Additionally each congregation will have the opportunity to develop supportive services for their foster families. Pastor Russell Rogers of Trinity Life Baptist Church in Garland will conduct the meeting. If you have ever given thought to becoming foster parents, now is a great time to explore this opportunity. Reach out to Pastor Van to sign up to attend the meeting.
