Home Teams

Home Teams are small groups who meet regularly during the school year and less frequently during summer months, with purposes, membership, meeting schedules and venues decided by group members. Each home team takes on a unique personality as a result of its members' interests, interaction, and availability. Members use their spiritual gifts and serve others in this one-another setting where servant leadership is developed. Home teams also seek to meet the basic human need to know and be known by one another, with the goal of loving and serving one another and inviting outsiders into this community of relationships. As leadership is expanded through preparation of apprentice leaders, home teams are to reproduce daughter groups who will continue the process of reaching out to include new members.

Home Team Leaders are individuals recognized as leaders of the small groups. They are responsible for spiritual mentoring and training members to one another functions, and are accountable to home team coaches.

Home Team Coaches are individuals responsible for coaching of (up to five) home team leaders and are accountable to the home team ministry leader.

Home Team Coordinators are members of their respective Adult Sunday School Class leadership team and are responsible for assimilation of people into Home Teams at the Adult Sunday School Class level. They are accountable to both their Adult Sunday School Class leader and the home team ministry leader.

The Home Team Ministry Leader is responsible for overall leadership of the home team ministry through the home team coaches, coordinators, and leaders, and is accountable to the LRBC elder responsible for discipleship.
