Lake Ridge Bible Church - Children's Ministry

Lake Ridge Bible Church offers many ministries for children. Our nursery provides a secure and caring place for infants and toddlers while their parents attend church. Our Sunday school classes, Kid's Own Worship service, AWANA, and Vactation Bible School all help children develop a relationship with Christ and experience the Bible through exciting activities and lessons. Lake Ridge Academy is a mid-week ministry which offers preschool, kindergarten and Parent's Day Out.

	Sunday School Classes Your child will enjoy experiencing the bible in one of our Sunday School classes! Preschool (both services) Elementary: 2 year olds – E116 1st grade – E217-219 (9:00 hour only) 3 & 4 year olds – E117 2nd & 3rd grade – E213-215 (9:00 hour only) Kindergarten – E120 4th & 5th grade – E210 (9:00 hour only)

	AWANA is fun! That's what gets kids there and that's what keeps them coming back. And while they're having fun, they're learning and growing. Awana club meetings are jam-packed with life-changing experiences. The clubs are run by trained leaders with a love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to help young people. The club materials are filled with verses from the Bible and guidelines to help kids memorize and understand them. Awana teaches kids that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. Kids also learn how God can help them in their daily lives. Lessons from the Bible teach them how to honor God in a sinful world. The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of christ and train them to server Him. This is the end result, but the method is FUN! Since 1950, churches have used Awana to reach youth. Three segments provide start-to-finish adventure in every meeting. Each segment has its own purpose, but all of them are FUN. Game time: Individual and team competition takes place through circle games exclusive to Awana and playground favorites. Every kid gets involved every night and has a chance to unleash his or her energy. Handbook time: Kids work one-on-one with a trained leader to complete assignments in the curriculum materials. Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses that show how to know God and walk with Him. Council time: Everyone gathers together for singing, announcements, award distribution and, most importantly, a practical bible message.
	Lake Ridge Academy is a weekday ministry of Lake Ridge Bible Church for children 6 MONTHS OLD THROUGH KINDERGARTEN. We strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where your child will experience love and acceptance in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Our goal is to promote the cognitive, spiritual, physical, social and emotional development of children. Some of the ways we accomplish this are by teaching age-appropriate academic and biblical curriculum, demonstrating loving relationships, providing hands-on learning centers, allowing for fun and creative play time, making music and singing together, and creating new adventures for your child to explore!
