Roger Raymer
The Senior Pastor of Lake Ridge Bible Church is Dr. Roger M. Raymer. Born July 2, 1947 in Houston, Texas, his family soon moved to southern California and it was there he received his formal education through the Riverside City School System. Upon completion of required studies at Ramona High School in June of 1965, he attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California and completed his freshman year. After completing his sophomore year at Riverside City College, he attended the University of California at Los Angeles. From there, he received the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in American history in May of 1969. Dr. Raymer was awarded a Prospective Teachers Fellowship at California State College at Los Angeles. He completed the requirements for a California State Teachers Certificate at the University of California at Riverside.

Dr. Raymer taught public school in the Alvord School District for three years. He then joined Wycliffe Bible Translators as a Short-Term Assistant. He served as a missionary schoolteacher for two years at the Alliance Academy in Quito, Ecuador from 1973 until 1975. Dr. Raymer attended Dallas Theological Seminary from 1975 until 1979 and received a Master of Theology degree. He served a total of nine years as a member of the Dallas Theological Seminary faculty. He has pastored churches in Christchurch, New Zealand, Houston, Texas and Dallas, Texas. In May of 2003, Dr. Raymer completed all of the requirements of the Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts.

Roger and his wife, Judy, have three grown children, Stephen (married to Lindsey), Kathryn (married to Joe), and Mark. They have also been blessed with three granddaughters, Anna Claire, Ella Rose and Sophie Grace.

Van Minter
Van Minter is the LRBC youth pastor. Van came to Lake Ridge Bible Church with over 12 years of pastoral experience with youth and college students. His desire is to “use the gifts that God has given me in order to build the body of Christ. To equip believers by helping to lay a solid foundation in their lives through discipleship so they are able to do likewise.” He has a heart for teaching God’s Word to youth and college students so that their walk with the Lord continues throughout the rest of their lives.

As a youth pastor, Van is a proven disciple maker and leader who provides a variety of approaches to studying the Bible and meeting the needs of students. He recognizes the desire for youth to gather together in fellowship, but works to ensure youth events have a spiritual impact beyond entertainment. It is Van’s firm conviction that the church should honestly evaluate the value of programs that exist within it so that what is of true value can be done with excellence and what is not, be taken out. He has organized numerous service projects, Disciple Now Weekends, summer camps, retreats, and college Bible studies.

Van and his wife, Leslie, have been married for seventeen years. They have three daughters: Holli, Halee, and Hattie. They are committed to the value of the family as the center of attention in order for a strong and healthy church to exist. Both Van and Leslie have strong relational skills and complement each other’s strengths and weakness in their marriage and ministry. They met at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX where he earned a BA in Theology in 1990. He completed his Masters of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth in 1996.

John Trimble

John Trimble is the Associate Pastor at LRBC. With his father in the accounting profession, John grew up in many different locations up and down the east coast, finally settling down in Greenville, South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor's degree in accounting from Clemson University. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant and serving six years in the accounting industry (Ernst & Young, a small tax firm and an insurance company), John and a coworker decided to take a risk, pursue their builders license and turn their hobby into a job when they opened up T&R Building Services. After four successful years of remodeling and new construction, John surrendered to what he felt was the Lord's calling on his life and came to Dallas Theological Seminary in the winter of 2001. In the spring of 2002, John accepted the full time position of Youth Minister at Lakeside Baptist Church and slowed his schooling down while he served those students for over three years. John successfully earned a Masters of Theology degree in Pastoral Leadership when he graduated in December of 2006. In January 2007, LRBC voted to call John as their Associate Pastor.

John and his wife Trish have been married for 16 years and have two daughters, Abby and Madeline. Trish is a registered nurse who loves to serve and minister to the children of Sunnyvale Elementary where she is the school nurse. John and Trish met at Clemson University and were married shortly after her graduation. They have both been and are still very sensitive to the Lord's leading in their life and desire to do His will only.

As the Associate Pastor at LRBC, John hopes to be able to use his gifts of organization and leadership to help see LRBC grow God's kingdom! John's office door is always opened and would love to hear what ideas or suggestions that God has placed on the hearts of those that He has called to LRBC. God is truly blessing and moving among His people at LRBC!
