The Lake Ridge Women’s Ministry understands the unique needs of women—the challenges of balancing family, home, work, and church. Retreats, conferences and other special events allow for life-changing times of encouragement and laughter. A variety of weekly Bible studies and fellowship groups are available to fit any schedule—all created especially for women.

Bible Studies

Through its' Heart to Heart Women's Ministry, Lake Ridge Bible Church seeks to provide every woman in the body with the opportunity, through small group Bible studies, to grow spiritually and build deep and lasting relationships with other women. Studies are selected to that there is a variety in the type and intensity of study, and different days and times are made available to the women so that at least one of them might be worked into each individual's schedule. We pray that one of these studies will tug at your heart and add great joy to your life! Registration for all studies is at the Heart to Heart table in the Commons.

Scrap Booking Group

Ladies, join us on the fourth Friday of each month at 5 pm (or whenever you can get there) starting on January 25 for fun and fellowship via scrap booking! For more information on this group, please contact Dana Patrick. Come share your great scrap booking ideas with us!

Third Thursdays

Mark your calendar for the third Thursday of each month - the Heart-2-Heart Women's Ministry will bring a different event for the women of Lake Ridge Bible Church. These events will focus on fellowship, food, and lots of fun.

September 4 - Heart -2-Heart Fall Kickoff - 7 pm at the church
Leave your stilettos at home, Ladies! It's time to get to work on our new ministry year with the Women's Fall Kick-Off event on Thursday, September 4 at 7 pm. You'll see some tools, hear some laughs and eat some treats as we tell you about the exciting year ahead of us. The cost is only $5, so head to the sign-up table in the Family Room today.

Spring 2008 Women's Conference - "A Temple in Tennis Shoes" April 18-19

We are planning an awesome Spring Conference to be held on April 18 and 19 right here at the church. Well known speaker, Shirley Bryan, will present. Some amazing things are being planned for you and the cost is only $25 for both days...and that includes three meals! Mark your calendars and plan to be there!

Mother, Daughters and Friends Tea - Saturday, May 3 at 10 am

The theme this year is "The Secret Garden." Join us as we journey into the Secret Garden and the heart of our Father. We would love to have every woman and young girl at Lake Ridge join us for this much-loved event - special surprises and menu for the kids! It's always great to see extended families join us as well. Tickets are $6.

Precepts - Lord, I Want to Know You
Begins June 24
Tuesday mornings 9:30, Tuesday evenings, 7:00 - in Administration Building Room 111

This book takes an in-depth look at the various names of God that e find in scripture and how they correlate with and explain His character and attributes. Newcomers are welcome!

Classes meet at 9:30 am and again at 7:00 pm in Room 111 in the Admin Building. We will spend time each week reviewing the lesson as well as share time in prayer and fellowship.

About our Precepts Studies
from our facilitator, Jackie Hildebrand: "If you've never done a Precepts study, we are not Bible scholars or a seminary type class. This is a discussion class where everyday women learn God's word from wherever you are in you life...willingly opening our hearts and minds for God's Spirit to teach us and mold us into the character of Christ...and we learn so much from each other. We'd love to see you there."

Connections - Bible Study Groups

Wednesday Mornings - 9:30 - 11:30 am - (Admin Building B111) - Fall - TBD

Our focus, as the name implies, is connecting with one another. We will spend time in study, fellowship and prayer. The morning class is hosted by Mishika Mentzer and Jana Nelson, and the evening class is hosted by Terri Craig and Becky Bair.

We will spend time each week reviewing the lesson as well as share time in prayer and fellowship. Child care is provided for the morning class.
